reblog if ur days are forever haunted by ben hardy as roger taylor saying with that cocky smirk, “I’ve got better things to do with my saturdays. I could give you their names”
“Doing [the Live Aid performance] three or four times in a row was a pretty exhausting experience, but it was great. Roger watched our rehearsal, and he was like, ‘Oh wow, did we really play that fast?’ And I was like, ‘Yes, you bloody did, and I’ve only been learning this for six weeks!” -Ben Hardy from Bohemian Rhapsody The Inside Story official book
THINGS I LOVED ABOUT THE BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY MOVIE AND WHY YOU SHOULD SEE IT!
The Queen movie was everything I asked for and more! It didn’t exclude anything from what I know. Here is a list, and of course, there is spoilers.
The includement of Freddie Mercury’s cats, he had a bunch (8 I think?) he really liked cats
How he had rooms for his cats
His heritage
How his birth name wasn’t Freddie Murcury, he changed it legally.
His (Former) Fiancé, Mary Austin
Him finding out he was bisexual
Uhm?? Have y’all not seen this Bisexual icon?? Finger guns and tight pants?? Legend.
His “I think I like dudes too..” Moment in the movie
“How does it look?”…”Gayer.”…”I mEAn the House not me!”
C A T S
Literally every moment his band mates make a comment about his clothing, y’all are missing out
EVERY.SINGLE.OUTFIT.FREDDIE.MURCURY.WEARS.
His relationship with Jim Hutton, that was actually pretty nice to watch ngl
“I like you.”…”Me too, come find me when you like yourself, too.”
“I didn’t know there was a lot of Jim Huttons in this place.”…”I didn’t want to make it easy”
How Freddie introduces Jim to his parents
“You work together..?”…*holds hands slowly*..”Jim is my friend”
It honestly handles the moment we’re Freddie get diagnosed with aids REALLY well, it’s not over dramatic or anything.
The scene were Freddie tells his bandmates about his illness is also really good, it’s a very human reaction
The credits were really nice!!
It ended with my favorite songs, “Radio Gaga”, and “Don’t Stop me Now”
The movie was really good, it only missed a few small details here and there. But I’m just glad they showed Freddie, the real Freddie. The determined, passionate, bisexual icon. I would definitely watch it again.
